- JRA was actually branched from the Japanese Red Faction. It was active from 1969-1972.

- Japanese Red Faction split into 3 different groups after it had become inactive. On one side it split into Keihin Ampo Kyoto and The United Red Army. Nether of the two organizations were active for more then 4 years. On the other side of the split was the Japanese Red Army which was active from 1971 to present day now.

- At its peak, the JRA had between 30 or 40 members.

- In 1971-72 the organizatn uionderwent severe fractional infighting that led to the execution of 14 of its militants by fellow Red Army members.

- The JRA's members within the group were very ordinary people almost. They blended in with the crowd as if it was just another civilian.

- Most of the people they recruited were very intelligent members due to the fact they didn't have gaudy numbers within their organization.
